Planning a wedding and reception can be a very hectic and exciting time, filled with so many options on what to choose for themes, decorations, etc. I know that when I tried to assist my daughter in planning her wedding, the biggest challenge was trying to get her to settle on one choice. First she didn’t know if she wanted a themed wedding or if she would rather go with a traditional ceremony and reception. We looked through all the themed wedding possibilities and she just couldn’t decide. At first she thought about a garden wedding, and then she considered a beach themed wedding and reception. After all the debating, she ended up with the traditional. With that decision finally out of the way, we were able to start planning.
The invites had been delivered, the banquet hall for the reception was booked, and the church was rented out. She had her gown and the wedding party attire was all taken care of, so mostly what we had to concentrate on now, was the reception supplies and decorations. There were still a couple of accessories we needed to find, like her wedding guest book and wedding album. A lot of the many wedding guest books we found had gorgeous art work on them. We had our pick of adorable wedding pens that went with the guestbooks, too. We weren’t quite done picking things out yet and my daughter saw this wedding set with a white satin cover and bow, with rhinestones, that had six pieces. There was a lovely unity candle, ring pillow, flower basket and wedding garter. These satin items were together with a personalized wedding guest book. The price was so affordable and the selection of wonderful choices was so wide that we were stunned. We found a photo book for the wedding where you could put little mementos and crafts. It really was a beautiful photo album.
Finally we were down to the cake topper, place card holders and wedding favors. Everything else was taken care of. She chose a lovely wedding cake topper with two doves made of glazed porcelain. Those doves will make an outstanding piece for her to treasure forever. Next we went for the place card holders, and for those my daughter decided to go with little silver picture frames for all of her guests at the reception. She said she liked those best because after the reception the guests could take them home and use them to display their favorite little picture. After looking at all of the items she selected for her ceremony and reception, I’d say she did a pretty good job of it. The extra cash she was able to hang on to by finding good deals is going to get spent when they go on the honeymoon.
It was a beautiful wedding, and the reception looked fantastic. My daughter and her new husband looked so wonderful as they danced their first dance as man and wife. I think my feet are still sore from tearing up the dance floor, but I’ll never foget what a magical night that was, and it was worth every second. My little girl was now a wife and would someday be a mother, maybe with a daughter of her own. Well, when that day comes, I know exactly where I’ll go to get the supplies and shower favors for the baby shower I’ll throw. I had a really difficult time finding exactly what I wanted to get for them. I saw all kinds of possiblities for wedding favors for bridesmaids and wedding guests on the Internet. But the hard part was picking out which was the best to buy. There were also a lot of great deals on thank you gifts that I found at a discount. One particular eight-piece set I found saved me a lot of money; it had a pillow for the ring bearer, a basket for the flower girl, a pen and sign-in book for guests, and several other things, all in one. I saved a ton on that. Buying them together rather than individually saved me a pretty penny.
I knew my bridesmaids would be thrilled if I got them an elegant jewelry box, and I found just that while I was perusing through the thank you gifts. Really, there were multiple wedding jewelry boxes that were very fancy. The choices for what to get my bridesmaids were so many that I finally just went back to planning the rest of the wedding because my head was spinning. I had almost everything I needed for the ceremony, but there was a few more things I needed to pick out for my reception. The wedding favors for relatives and close acquaintances hadn’t been settled on, so I looked at doing that, and then there was also the matter of a wedding cake topper to look into. We got a cake topper of pair of newly weds locked in a loving embrace. I looked at several different styles, and almost bought the monogram cake topper with silver brushed initials and crystals, but I fell for the embracing couple instead. Now, I had everything but the gifts for my girls, so I had to make a final decision. They each got cheap jewelry boxes, and inside of it was some nice wedding jewelry. What I found for them was a shimmering rhinestone bracelet. It wasn’t over-the-top, even though it might seem that way. The volume of options in discount wedding jewelry was so great, and so good, that I got them some of that and saved a little cash in the process. It turned out to be the best day of my life and we all had such a great time at the reception. My single sister caught the bouquet and my brother in law was the winner at the garter toss. Might something come of it? If they did get together and someday took the plunge, he would still be my brother in law, but my sister would also be my sister in law too. Only time will tell.

When I started browsing the internet I found so many beautiful wedding and reception accessories for almost any type of wedding you could imagine. If you want a beach party wedding you can find beach party accessories like beautiful little seashells and starfish, just to name a couple. They have summer and spring designs to choose from that are just awesome. You could get beautiful new wedding accessories for all 4 seasons. The season that was amazing was the winter season because of all the Christmas colors and decorations you can add to your reception. I actually heard that some brides and grooms have an outside winter wedding. To me having a wedding in the winter outside would be a beautiful site to see and yet a little way out of the norm. I think I would be just fine with an indoor winter wedding and reception. To me you should plan a wedding in the winter at a resort that has all the amenities to help everybody stay warm.
Autumn is a beautiful time of the year and my favorite, and it would be a great time to have a wedding. An autumn wedding would be so beautiful because of the beautiful scenery with the colors changing and awesome fall scents in the air. When I was married many years ago the only options you had was a church wedding or a county building to get married. Today there are so many various weddings you can plan, that you can have the wedding you always wanted. I’ve heard of weddings where the location is out of state or even the country and all the friends and famliy fly to that location to have the wedding ceremony. My daughter is getting married in two months and I’m helping her to plan the whole thing and she has decided to have a country western ceremony and reception. I would of never guessed that a country western wedding would be so great until I helped my daughter plan hers. This wedding is going to be the wedding of the year and probably won’t be forgotten for a long time.
