NEWMAC Singles Player of the Week:
Payum Payman, SR, Wheaton (Pleasant Valley, NY)
Payman posted straight-set wins in each of his No. 1 singles matches last week, helping the Lyons to a 2-0 mark. Payman initially knocked off his opponent from Babson, 6-2, 6-0 on Wednesday before picking up a 6-0, 6-2 triumph against Springfield on Saturday. Payman extended his winning streak to six matches while moving to 9-2 this spring.

NEWMAC Doubles Team of the Week:
Andrew Constant, SO (Kingston, NY) and Joe Lisi, JR (Southbridge, MA), Springfield
Springfield's No. 1 doubles team of Andrew Constant and Joe Lisi went 2-0 on the week in a pair of road matches. The duo first defeated Ryan Beck and Chris Pappe of Coast Guard, 8-4, in an 8-1 team victory last Wednesday. They then defeated Payum Payman and Brad Dressler of Wheaton, 9-8, during a 7-2 team loss last Saturday.
