NEWMAC Singles Player of the Week:
Briana Jackson, JR, Wheaton (Redding, CT)
Jackson turned in a 2-0 week at top singles for the Lyons, helping Wheaton begin its season with two straight wins. Jackson yielded only three points during a 6-2, 6-1 victory against Simmons to open the season on Friday before using a pair of 6-3 triumphs versus Rutgers-Newark on Sunday.

NEWMAC Doubles Team of the Week:
Jamie Weiss, SR (Chicago, IL) and Katherine Knies, FR (Purdys, NY), Wheaton
In their first two matches as partners, Weiss and Knies picked up wins in helping the Lyons begin the season 2-0. The tandem yielded a total of three points. Against Simmons on Friday, the duo picked up a quick 8-1 win at top doubles before corralling an 8-2 victory over Rutgers-Newark on Sunday.
