NEWMAC Singles Player of the Week:
Alex Lucas, SO, Wellesley (Leawood, Kan.)
Lucas' win over MIT's Anisa McCree at the number four singles spot on Sunday clinched the Blue's third straight NEWMAC Championship. Armed with a 3-0 lead after doubles play, Wellesley needed just two more wins in singles play to snag the title. Lucas responded with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over McCree to seal the Blue's third straight NEWMAC crown and an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

NEWMAC Doubles Team of the Week:
Jen Schwarzkopf, SO (Hinsdale, Ill.) and Meghan Stubblebine, FR ( Bridgeville, Pa.), Wellesley
Schwarzkopf and Stubblebine avenged a regular season loss to Mariah Hoover and Yi Wang of MIT on Sunday as the Wellesley duo defeated MIT's tandem, 8-6, in the number two doubles spot to help the Blue earn its third consecutive NEWMAC title. It was the second win of the weekend for Schwarzkopf and Stubblebine, who blanked Miyu Kikuchi and Seiko Fujii of Smith, 8-0, in Saturday's semifinal round.
