Nice keepsake wedding gift!

Wednesday, May 6th, 2009

Giving my relatives and friends a wonderful, unforgettable time on my wedding day was a top priority for me. The presents and favors I got everyone were things that could be treasured for a lifetime. I wanted to get them things that would help them recall how exceptional both our reception and wedding was. I began by selecting keepsake gifts and moved on to things like a keepsake wedding gift. On the web, there are a ton of ideas and options for wedding and reception accessories and supplies. I was able to find everything I needed for my wedding reception as far as accessories go.
On all of my reception tables were floral centerpieces I had made up at the florist and gorgeous floral scented candles that looked as if they were covered in lace and came with a pretty little ceramic holder. .
I found some precious little picture frames with beads around them that I could use for my place card holders. I made up my mind that the people at my wedding woud get practical favors that, afterwards, would be nice gift keepsakes. If you’re giving a present anyway, I’ve always felt that you might as well get something that they can make use of somehow. Those kind of party favors just end up in the trash or sitting in a drawer somewhere collecting dust. My loved ones were going to get something they’d genuinely appreciate, if I had anything to say about it. So I chose bistro coffee mugs for each of our friends and family’s gift. They attractive and you can get good use out of them, too. I bought a bunch of pretty hang tags to put on the boxes they arrived in, but the containers were so nice-looking that I just kept them in the boxes they came in.
Reception supplies and accessories were easy to find on the world wide web. One super item we picked out was our wedding cake topper. I decided to go with something with special meaning to us.
When we met for the first time, it was at a friends house and we were all engaged in a little friendly game of football on the back lawn. I got a couple in wedding garb in the middle of a football game to remind us that his first move on me was when he was trying to tackle me. This will be a cake topper that will be a keepsake for two reasons, one, the day we met and two, the day we married.
